NS&I announces new Non-executive Directors

The Financial Services Secretary and Minister for the City, Paul Myners CBE, has appointed David Hulf and John de Trafford as Non-executive Directors of the Board of NS&I with effect from 1 January 2010.

They replace Paul Spencer and Michael Medlicott, who recently completed their maximum six-year term as Nonexecutive Directors.

Non-executive members of NS&I’s Board ensure a sound strategy is in place to meet the organisation’s remit. They also act as an external source of advice, maintaining risk control and ensuring NS&I’s links with its strategic partner remain open and transparent.

Jane Platt, NS&I's Chief Executive, said:

“I am delighted to welcome David Hulf and John de Trafford to the Board of NS&I. These two outstanding appointments will strengthen the team as we take the next steps in delivering NS&I’s modernisation programme. I would also like to thank Michael Medlicott for his hard work and support over the past six years. Michael has played an instrumental part in the development and growth of NS&I’s direct channels, and in increasing the value NS&I is able to offer to its stakeholders.”
