PREMIUM BONDS WINNERS IN HERTFORDSHIRE AND ESSEX
April’s £1 million Premium Bond winners come from Hertfordshire and Essex.
The first eligible Bond number drawn was 239CV516628 and belongs to a man in Hertfordshire. He has a total holding of £40,000 and purchased his winning Bond in January 2015. The man is the 13th Premium Bonds millionaire from Hertfordshire.
April’s second millionaire is a woman based in Essex. Her winning Bond number is 293GZ540034 and she has the maximum holding of £50,000 in Premium Bonds. The winning Bond was purchased in January 2017. The win makes the woman the 17th £1 million winner from Essex.
April 2020 prize draw breakdown
In the April 2020 prize draw, a total of 3,527,794 prizes worth £100,836,075 will be paid out. There were 86,430,926,941 eligible Bonds for the draw. Since the first draw in June 1957, ERNIE has drawn 476.5 million prizes with a total value of £20.5 billion.
Customers can check to see if they have won on the nsandi.com prize checker and prize checker app from Thursday 2 April 2020. Customers will require their Premium Bonds holders’ number to see if they have won.
Customers who have chosen to have prizes paid to their bank account, or have their prizes reinvested, will be informed whether they have won by email or text message and can check the online prize checker at nsandi.com or the NS&I prize checker app to see the value of their prize. Customers who still receive warrants will receive notification through the post.
Customers can arrange to get future prizes paid straight to their bank account if they are registered for NS&I’s online service and have an email or mobile phone number. Visit nsandi.com and click ‘Log in’, go to ’Your profile’ and select ‘Your prize options’.
NS&I Premium Bonds prize warrants are valid for three months, however the warrants may still be accepted at a later date by the bank – up to 6 months. However, if you have a problem at that time and the bank won’t accept the warrant, we can send you a new warrant.
NS&I is urging Premium Bonds customers not to call NS&I to check to see if they have won. Customers should only call if they absolutely have to. Our telephone teams are smaller at the moment, and we need to keep our phone lines clear for customers who don’t have online access or have an urgent need to speak to us.
