From 1 July 2014, savers will be able to take advantage of the government’s increase to ISA limits announced in the March Budget.

For the June 2014 draw ERNIE paid out over 1.8 million prizes, together amounting to over £51 million in value. There were 47,842,567,640 eligible Bond numbers in the draw. In Kent there are over 685,000 Premium Bonds holdings worth more than £1.7 billion.

From Sunday 1 June 2014 the amount that customers can invest in Premium Bonds will increase to £40,000, up from the current maximum of £30,000. As customers increase their investment above £30,000, it will give them more chances to win tax-free prizes from ERNIE.

For the April 2014 draw ERNIE paid out over 1.8 million prizes, together amounting to over £51 million in value. There were 47,485,235,758 eligible Bond numbers in the draw. In the County of Durham there are over 190,000 Premium Bonds holdings worth more than £300 million.

The government has announced plans for National Savings and Investments (NS&I) to help support savers.

NS&I today announced that Matrix Capital has been awarded the contract to provide financial advisory services to winners of the monthly Premium Bonds £1 million jackpot prize.

In Suffolk there are over 300,000 Premium Bonds holdings worth more than £755 million.
