NS&I today announced changes to its Income Bonds. The changes are part of the final stage of NS&I’s programme to simplify and modernise its savings range, and to grow the number of customers transacting with it directly by post, phone and online.

For the September 2013 draw ERNIE paid out over 1.7 million prizes, together amounting to over £50 million in value. There were 46,195,203,963 eligible Bond numbers in the draw.

From 11 November 2013 we will be making changes to how we calculate the returns on these old Savings Certificates. We are simplifying our range of accounts and investments to make them more consistent with current Issues and easier to understand.

For the August 2013 draw ERNIE paid out over 1.7 million prizes, together amounting to over £49 million in value. There were 45,922,007,994 eligible Bond numbers in the draw.

NS&I today announced that it was reducing the annual Premium Bond prize fund rate by 0.20% to 1.30%1 from 1 August 2013. The odds of each £1 Bond number winning a prize will change to 26,000 to 1 from 24,000 to 1.

For the July 2013 draw ERNIE paid out over 1.9 million prizes, together amounting to over £57 million in value. There were 45,679,465,864 eligible Bond numbers in the draw.

NS&I today announced that it was reducing the interest rate on its Income Bonds to 1.25%, its Direct Saver to 1.1% and its Direct ISA to 1.75%.

There has been an increase in the number of people who will use at least some of their annual ISA allowance, according to new research from NS&I.

For the June 2013 draw ERNIE paid out over 1.8 million prizes, together amounting to over £56 million in value. There were 45,431,015,289 eligible Bond numbers in the draw.

On 25 May 2013, the NS&I Cash ISA and T Cash ISA (formerly TESSA-only ISA) closed and any customers who still had money invested were automatically transferred to our Direct ISA.
