Lancashire and Suffolk have become the latest regions to celebrate Premium Bonds £1 million jackpot winners, as ERNIE has randomly selected their numbers in September’s Premium Bonds draw.

The old phrase ‘Good things come to those who wait’ has been especially pertinent to Premium Bond winners in 2016, as a number of Premium Bonds winners have won high value prizes from Bonds bought 30 years ago or older.

ERNIE is sending Agent Million to the West of England this month, as good news will be delivered to Cornwall and Somerset.

West Sussex’s very own intrepid space explorer Tim Peake seems to have brought back some luck from the stars, as two winners from West Sussex become July’s Premium Bonds millionaires this month.

Despite receiving a fair share of Valentines’ cards over the years, this month ERNIE has shared his love in Wales and the City of Nottingham, making two lucky women Premium Bonds millionaires.

It’s been a great year for Leicester, and with the football team riding high in the Premier League, the city is also celebrating the New Year in style with the news that two of its own – a man and a woman – have become Premium Bonds millionaires.

For the October 2015 draw, ERNIE paid out over 2.2 million prizes of more than £64 million in value. There were 57,246,978,536 eligible Bond numbers in the draw.

NS&I today announced that it is reducing the interest rate on its Direct ISA by 0.25% to 1.25% tax-free/AER. This change will come into effect from 16 November 2015.

For the September 2015 draw, ERNIE paid out over 2.1 million prizes of more than £63 million in value. There were 56,773,716,617 eligible Bond numbers in the draw. This brings the grand total of prizes since the first draw in June 1957, to 325 million and the value of those prizes to £16 billion.
