Following the announcement in the 2014 Budget that NS&I would help support savers by increasing the Premium Bonds investment limit to £40,000, and increase the number of £1 million prizes from one to two, NS&I has announced that the Premium Bonds annual prize fund rate will increase from 1.30% to 1.35% from 1 August 2014.
NS&I today announced changes to its Income Bonds. The changes are part of the final stage of NS&I’s programme to simplify and modernise its savings range, and to grow the number of customers transacting with it directly by post, phone and online.
NS&I today announced that it was reducing the annual Premium Bond prize fund rate by 0.20% to 1.30%1 from 1 August 2013. The odds of each £1 Bond number winning a prize will change to 26,000 to 1 from 24,000 to 1.
NS&I will give away five £1 million prizes in each of its two anniversary draws as part of the celebrations of 50 years of Premium Bonds. In both December 2006 and June 2007, there will be three extra jackpots as well as the usual two, giving customers five chances to win £1 million for two months only. Plus there will still be over a million other tax-free* prizes.
