Over £25 billion in Premium Bonds prizes have now been paid out to winners since the first ever draw in 1957, as March’s £1 million jackpot winners are announced as coming from Nottinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Two lucky Premium Bond holders are starting the New Year as millionaires as NS&I announces that the first Premium Bonds jackpot winners of 2023 are from South Yorkshire and Wiltshire. Nearly five million prizes were up for grabs this month, with a total of nearly £300 million paid out.

Premium Bonds customers are set to get a welcome New Year boost with an extra £80 million in prizes up for grabs from the January prize draw, with an increase to the prize fund rate from 2.20% to 3.00%. Alongside this, effective from today, NS&I has also increased interest rates across several of its other variable products.
