Purpose of role/key responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Product Manager to be responsible for a number of NS&I products and services. The role will require the formulating and presenting of pricing recommendations, forecasting future product and channel performance, and ensuring that NS&I’s proposition evolves to remain relevant to customers in an age of digital disruption.
You will be able to clearly develop pricing recommendations, whereby in-depth and logical analysis will need to be demonstrated to obtain senior stakeholder agreement. You will take responsibility of ensuring that your Products are delivering value to customers and the taxpayer in equal measure.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate analytical and strategic thinking, and actively contribute towards the development of the Retail strategy, working closely with our strategy and policy teams to ensure that our strategic goals are being delivered.
You will contribute to projects (primarily in a Product Owner role), and will need to demonstrate that you can make tough decisions within a project atmosphere. You’ll be adept at managing internal and external deadlines, quickly developing strong working relationships, and ensuring that projects are delivered on budget and on time. We have recently refreshed the ways in which we work so experience of working in an Agile environment would be beneficial.
All the while, you will need to actively demonstrate that our customers (and future customers) are your ultimate focus. You’ll do this through customer analysis (including customer profiles and behaviours), keeping up to date with market trends, and undertaking relevant customer research and testing.
Ideally we’d like a candidate with financial services Product Management and Pricing experience. You will need to demonstrate that you can make informed and insight driven decisions quickly, often working to various conflicting deadlines, whilst actively contributing to an energetic and ambitious team. You’ll be a clear and confident communicator, and unafraid to constructively challenge others. You’ll have a degree, or an equivalent CIM qualification.
